Flea Market.. Public Garden @ Old Hill Street Police Station (Old MICA building)

I'm so pleased to be invited to join the Public Garden's flea market in their upcoming event in June. I have wanted to join them since April (when we first launch ilovehandmadeshoppe) but was unsuccessful :( But lucky me, my application was successful this round :) YAY! Public Garden operates a flea market comprising Singapore's best independent businesses and creative individuals. Public Garden is an alternative to big-box retail with a free spirit. Please come and take a look! To prepare for this fleamarket, I'm planning several new products.. Your support is greatly appreciated! When? 29 - 30 June 2013, 1.00 pm to 7.00 pm Where? Fabric applique

I love to use felt applique in the past to create cute images on my handmade crafts. However, lately, I fell in love with fabric applique as it is so easy to use (Thanks to tons of tutorials available on internet). You will need to design your image on paper and transfer the image to bond paper which you will use it to iron onto the fabric. Thereafter, cut out the fabric applique, iron onto the fabric for your pouch or tote and stitch it around.. I had hand stitched this little fabric deer applique using blanket stitch.. it looked so cute.. I have always wanted a little deer as applique and the vintage floral fabric made it looked outstanding too.. it took me 1.5 hours to sketch the little deer outline, transfer to fabric and handstitched all round it.. it is fully interfaced too.. cant wait to see the final product.. hope you will like it :)

New products this week

Despite my busy work schedule, I have managed to make two passport holders this weekend.. It seems that I'm rather productive :) I'm so glad that my Brother is back to his usual self (sewing machine), in fact, he is better than ever.. He made my handicraft sessions more enjoyable :)
