Fabric applique

I love to use felt applique in the past to create cute images on my handmade crafts. However, lately, I fell in love with fabric applique as it is so easy to use (Thanks to tons of tutorials available on internet). You will need to design your image on paper and transfer the image to bond paper which you will use it to iron onto the fabric. Thereafter, cut out the fabric applique, iron onto the fabric for your pouch or tote and stitch it around.. I had hand stitched this little fabric deer applique using blanket stitch.. it looked so cute.. I have always wanted a little deer as applique and the vintage floral fabric made it looked outstanding too.. it took me 1.5 hours to sketch the little deer outline, transfer to fabric and handstitched all round it.. it is fully interfaced too.. cant wait to see the final product.. hope you will like it :)

New products this week

Despite my busy work schedule, I have managed to make two passport holders this weekend.. It seems that I'm rather productive :) I'm so glad that my Brother is back to his usual self (sewing machine), in fact, he is better than ever.. He made my handicraft sessions more enjoyable :)

Rescue my brother machine

My sewing machine has been giving me problems.. it skips stitches. . So in order to rescue him, I read up manual and google Internet. . Following actions were taken 1. Change needle2. Change thread and bobbin 3. Oil him 4. Change thread tension.. now he is working fine

Samsung note 2 phone pouch...inspired by envelope

My brother-in-law has been encouraging me to make handphone pouches. Hence, I have decided to try and to use my phone as a template. After trial and error, I have made this handphone pouch with the flap like an envelope.. Hope you will like it.
